How to setup password protection for knowledge base
- Login using your admin account.
- Go to
Desk -> Admin -> Customer Portal -> Access Control. - Click on the
Editlink. - Turn on the check box that says
Password protect knowledge base. - Provide a password.
- Click on
Save.

Now if you try to access the Knowledge base, you will be asked to enter the access password.

Note: If you are logged in as an admin user, you wouldn't asked for the access password. Access control applies only to customers and other not-logged in users.
